July 2026: Dear Valued Customer,

We are pleased to share several positive developments at Alan Anderson Manufacturing that will further enhance our service to you.

We warmly welcome our new Operations Director, who joined the team in May, together with four new members who have strengthened our production and engineering departments.

We have now taken delivery and are installing our new Europlacer pick-and-place SMT machine. This advanced system becomes our third SMT line, complementing our two existing Yamaha iPulse SY-20 platforms. Europlacer machines are highly regarded for their exceptional flexibility in high-mix production environments, supporting a broad range of components and enabling rapid changeovers. 

These capabilities will deliver not only shorter lead times but also significantly faster turnaround for prototyping and samples, allowing us to respond more effectively to your urgent requirements while maintaining the highest quality standards.

These investments and team expansions reaffirm our commitment to operational excellence and supporting the evolving needs of our valued customers.

Alan Anderson Manufacturing to exhibit at Southern Manufacturing and Electronics

November 2025: Hemel Hempstead, UK: Alan Anderson (AA) Manufacturing Ltd, the UK’s newest full-capability PCBA and Value-Add CEM, will exhibit at the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics exhibition in Farnborough

The company will show a complete range of PCBA capabilities, plus in-house device programming, components and PCB procurement service and a range of other value-add solutions.

Says Managing Director, Philip Bray:  "We believe in UK manufacturing. We have looked at the whole manufacturing cycle, from design to delivery and invested in brand new equipment and experienced personnel so that we can offer more than traditional CEMs. Every company that has visited our UK manufacturing centre has given us business. Alan Anderson Manufacturing increases workforce to support major investment at UK CEM

January 2024: Hemel Hempstead, UK: Alan Anderson (AA) Manufacturing Ltd, the UK’s newest full-capability PCBA and Value-Add CEM, is adding significantly to its workforce, with the hiring of a key new executive and a team of skilled manufacturing staff. The move is in support of a multi-million-pound investment in state-of-the-art equipment and designed to deliver the highest quality electronics manufacturing service.

Comments Operations Director, Philip Bray: “We are building a world class facility here in the UK, offering not only PCBA capabilities, but also programming, procurement and logistics, all under one roof. The highest calibre equipment required the highest calibre personnel.”

Joining AA Manufacturing as Sales Director, Michael Knight, who formerly held a similar post at another UK CEM. Other new hires include four new production staff and two SMT engineers who previously worked together in a team at a UK plant that is now moving offshore. Adds Bray: “Keeping manufacturing close to the end market improves quality, speeds manufacturing time and saves waste. We believe in employing the best, experienced people and we are happy that all the new hires have chosen to bring their skills and expertise to AA Manufacturing.”

January 2023: Hemel Hempstead, UK: Alan Anderson (AA) Manufacturing Ltd has been established to deliver a leading-technology electronics manufacturing capability, coupled with full logistics and value-add services, from a UK centre of excellence.

Comments Operations Director, Philip Bray: “UK manufacturing has many advantages. Lead times are reduced and product quality improved by bringing production closer to the end market. Supply chain risks are reduced and the impact of tariff hikes and trade wars is lessened. By reducing carbon footprint we improves sustainability, and of course job opportunities in the domestic economy stimulates local growth.”

AA Manufacturing keeps everything under one roof. The company has invested in modern PCBA lines and AOI and X-ray inspection. More than that, AA Manufacturing also has on-site device programming, £5M worth of IC inventory to offset shortages and an established PCB supply chain.

Exceptional customer service is a mantra at AA Manufacturing. The company will price-fix and hold buffer stocks of completed assemblies for customers. And customers can see the progress of their build in real time.
